Indexing
Pass. One canonical URL per page; trailing-slash and /index.php duplicates 301 since August.
Entity consistency
Pass. "SEO content strategy" in the title, H1, first paragraph, meta description, and headings.
Answer readiness
Needs work. See finding 1.
Three findings
-
1. The headings never ask the questions people ask.
None of the 34 headings on the home page is phrased as a question, and only 4 of its 10 main sections open with a direct answer to their heading. People type and prompt in questions; engines match headings to them. Fix: rewrite section headings as the questions buyers ask, and answer each in its first sentence.
-
2. The structured data was 144 separate islands.
Each of the site's 45 pages carried two to four unconnected blocks of structured data. The founder's credentials were described only on the About page, and the site itself only on the home page, so engines had to guess how the articles, services, author, and business fit together. Fixed September 11: every page now carries one connected graph of the business, the founder, and the site.
-
3. Almost nothing outside the site confirms the business exists.
The only profiles linked to the business are two LinkedIn pages. AI engines lean heavily on third-party sources to decide whom to trust and quote. Fix: a Google Business Profile, Bing Places, and a handful of directory listings with the exact same name, then useful answers where buyers already ask questions.
The first cluster I would build
A glossary of the terms buyers look up before they hire: entity SEO, topical authority, answer engine optimization, and about forty more. Each definition is a short, quotable answer, and each one links to the article or service that goes deeper.
A realistic timeline
- Weeks: technical and structured-data fixes are seen as Google recrawls. Google says crawling "can take anywhere from a few days to a few weeks."
- Months: a new cluster earns impressions as it is crawled, linked, and trusted. Three to six months is a fair expectation for it to mature.
- Never promised: specific rankings, traffic numbers, or AI citations. The engines decide those.
